Abstract Painting, Fire in the Sky II, by Canadian Artist Kim Blair

Fire in the Sky II
12x12 oil on gallery profile canvas

One more orange toned abstract... I promise to paint some abstracts in other hues too. The 'orange' energy needs to be expressed first, then the other colors can have centre stage.

This one is also based on a cropped section of tin-foil reflections.  Cropping the reference photo is like looking at it under a microscope because it enlarges the new section once you crop it from the original.  It comes alive before your eyes!  Brilliant... luminescent color.

FIRE! What a great idea - cropping the reference. You go, girl!
