Semi-Abstract Painting, Wicker Dreams IV, by Canadian Artist Kim Blair

Wicker Dreams IV
10x10 oil on canvas

Here is the fourth  painting in my series of wicker.  This view conjured up visions of ocean waves undulating, with a few white caps forming here and there, as Ada (my husband's mother) crossed the Atlantic on her voyage to Canada in the 50's.  Riding those waves on a huge ocean-liner must have felt very safe, as she left her familiar world for 'her new world' in the wild west of Canada.  Below deck, tucked somewhere in the luggage compartment, was this wicker trunk... riding the high seas, packed full with secret dreams and sewing notions.

$150.00, 10x10 oil on canvas

LOVE IT! Love the ocean wave look and thoughts that go with it!
