The inspiration for my abstract work comes from a number of sources... nature, architecture, archaeology, machinery, life experiences, travel... they all influence the work.
One colour that evokes happy memories of childhood for me is this pinky orange tone. Perhaps it was the wall colour at a friends home, or the upholstery fabric on a piece of furniture at a relative's cottage. Whatever the source, it is a colour I absorbed into my visual memory, incubating all these years... waiting for the right moment to be expressed.
